K9 Max - Canine Myofunctional Therapy & Reiki centre
Canine Myofunctional Therapy & Reiki centre
Georgia, who worked at PAWss two years, has studied and completed (April 2019) her Diploma in Canine Myofunctional Therapy (CMT) and Level 1 Reiki in May 2019 and is now setting up on the PAWss site (different entrance).
CMT is professional dog massage and is designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the dog working with the dogs’ muscles using different massage techniques that are specifically designed to the canine anatomy. The newly renovated cabin at PAWss provides pet owners with the rehabilitating and relaxing activities their dog may need.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing practise and works with the dogs energies and chakras to soothe and relax the dog, enhancing their well being. Georgia also completed her Level 3 Hydrotherapy for small animals back in November 2017, which is controlled water based activity which has many benefits. K9 Max and PAWss hope to get Hydrotherapy up and running on site in the near future. Across the board, Hydrotherapy and Massage can aid dogs in pre and post-surgery and injury. Specifically, Massage helps muscles become more pliable and helps the dog with relaxation, better range of motion, stretching, pre and post sports massage and maintenance. Hydrotherapy works the dog to help build muscle mass, and can aid in weight management, fitness, medical condition control, better range of motion and water confidence. K9 Max aims to give dogs an overall healthier and happier lifestyle, and in some cases increasing the longevity of life.”
